Stir 1 to 2 tsp. of Karo syrup into a glass of warm water. The warm water will assist in treating the blocked bowel.

Drink the entire glass of water with the Karo syrup in it.

Wait several hours before taking another dose of Karo syrup. Karo syrup takes longer to work than medications but it also doesn't have the side effects those medicines can bring about. If the Karo syrup isn't working or of the condition returns on a regular basis, see a doctor.
