Home Cures for Kidney Stones
Kidney stones are caused by the formation of chemicals such as phosphorus, calcium, uric acid and oxalic acid that is found in the urine. They are usually very painful while they are in the process of passing through the urethra to the bladder. There are several natural home remedies to treat kidney stones.-

Kidney beans can be used to treat kidney stones and many other ailments that may affect the kidney. Take the beans from the pods, slice 60 grams of the pods and add 4 liters of hot water. Boil this combination on low heat for six hours. Strain the mixture and allow it to sit for eight hours. Drink a glass of this mixture every two hours for a day and a half.
Basil is known to strengthen the kidneys. To expel the kidney stones from the urine tract, mix 1 tsp. of basil juice and 1 tsp. of honey. Take this treatment daily to promote overall kidney health and to pass a kidney stone.
Add celery to your daily diet if you are prone to kidney stones. Celery helps prevent these stones from forming. Grapes are high in potassium salt and have a high water content, which gives it a diuretic value to release excess fluids. The sodium chloride and low albumin content found in grapes also works to improve the health of the kidney.
Take 1 Tbsp. of pomegranate seeds and grind it into a paste. Take the pomegranate seed paste with horse gram soup to encourage the gravel in the kidneys to dissolve. To prepare the soup, combine 2 Tbsp. of horse gram with hot water.
Watermelon has high water content as well as potassium salt. It is a natural diuretic which aids in the passing of kidney stones.
If you are prone to kidney stones, add 100 to 150 mg of vitamin B6 to your daily diet to promote over all kidney health.
Things to avoid

To prevent kidney stones that are composed of calcium phosphate, avoid foods such as chickpeas, peas, soybeans, beets, whole wheat, spinach, turnips, cauliflower, carrots, almonds and coconuts. To prevent the formation of kidney stones composed of primarily salt, drink an average of 3 liters of fluids per day.
