How to Reintroduce Food After Food Poisoning
According to the Centers for Disease Control, food-borne illnesses, frequently called food poisoning, affect 76 million people in the United States annually. Food poisoning typically consists of 24 to 48 hours of nausea and vomiting as a result of parasites, bacteria and viruses. Improper food-handling techniques at any stage of food production and preparation are primary causes of the affliction and in many cases serious dehydration can result. Consult a physician for cases lasting longer than 48 hours, particularly in young children, the elderly and pregnant women.Things You'll Need
