If your temperature rises above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, take 1000 mg of Tylenol. After two hours take 400 mg of Ibuprofen. You should alternate these two medications every two hours to lower your body temperature. Do not take more than 4000 mg of Tylenol, or more than 3200 mg of Ibuprofen in a 24 hour period.

Cover yourself with layers of blankets to keep you warm. You will have periods of feeling cold and hot when you have influenza. When you feel that you are getting too hot, or your body temperature rises, take off some of the blankets.

Gatorade will replenish your lost fluids and with electrolytes, which will help your body regulate it's internal functions.
