Home Remedy for Intestinal Worms

Intestinal worms can enter your body from food or water, through your nose or skin, or via sexual contact or a transmitting agent such as an insect bite. These parasites require the intestines of another organism to thrive. The most common intestinal worms are pinworms, roundworms, tapeworms and whipworms. You can turn to several home remedies to help rid the body of these parasites.
  1. Common Remedies

    • You can eliminate worms from your body by adding 1 tbsp. of castor oil to a small glass of warm milk. This mixture should be taken twice a day, in the morning and after dinner.

Implement fresh or dried coconut into your diet to kill intestinal worms. You can add coconut juice to your food throughout the day to naturally digest the parasite.

You can use fresh fruits such as papaya, peaches and pineapple to detoxify and clean the intestines. Parasites and intestinal worms require filth from the intestines to thrive. When the body is detoxified and the harmful toxins and filth that are essential for worms to survive have been eliminated, the worms will not survive long.

Another great remedy to remove not only intestinal worms, but also their eggs is to mix roasted cumin seeds, rock salt and black pepper into buttermilk. Drink this mixture three to four times a day for a week.

    International Herbs

    • To remove the intestinal worms' eggs as well as the actual worms in your intestines, another mixture to try is a combination of equal portions of black walnut green hull tincture, cloves tincture and wormwood tincture. Add honey before tasting. You can also use blessed thistle tea to detoxify your body of foreign toxins and parasites.

You may need to special order certain herbs such a black walnut green hull tincture, wormwood and blessed thistle, which are not found in typical supermarkets, to ensure that you have all natural ingredients to try these particular remedies.

    Remedies for Children

    • To rid your child of worms that may lay hidden in the digestive system, add vidanga, a natural herb used to strengthen the body and kill intestinal parasites, to buttermilk. Give this mixture to your child twice a day to receive the full benefits. Home remedies using vidanga are beneficial particularly for children because this herb helps soothe the stomach so that children can digest and absorb foods easily.

Another great remedy for children is to grind one piece of ginger with some vidanga to form a paste, and then add honey after the paste is formed. You should give this to your child once a day to expel the worms from her system. This home remedy is quick and effective, taking only two to three days to rid the body of intestinal worms.
