Homeopathic Cure for Boils

A boil is an inflammation that forms under the skin. They may appear tender or hard; boils may also itch and become uncomfortable. They are usually caused by bacteria that is located on healthy skin.     • Arsenicum album can be used on boils that are deeply infected. When this treatment is required there is a burning pain and a discharge.       Calendula is a remedy that is used to promote the body's resistance to infection when taken internally. This treatment can also be used on infected sores. You can take Calendula as an ointment, compress, as an herb or, when diluted, as a tincture.
      With boils being caused by bacteria or infection you can use Echinacea angustifolia to boost your immune system so that your body can naturally overcome infection. This remedy is great for those with recurring boils. When this form of treatment is needed you may have symptoms such as lethargy, achy, chilly or a sickly feeling.
      If your boils are spreading, tender, sensitive to the touch or has a splinter-like pain you will need Hepar sulphuris calcareum. If there is an advanced development of pus and your boil is sensitive you may require Mercurius solubilis, a homeopathic remedy. The bacteria that caused the boil will also create bodily symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes, offensive breath or sensitivity to temperature change.
      Silicea, also known as Silica, is used to treat boils that are slow to heal and that forms hard lumps. This cure can be used to prevent reoccurring boils as well as multiple boils. If you require this remedy you may be easily fatigued or nervous.
      Tarentula cubensis may be indicated when a boil is sore and swollen with stinging, burning pain, and purplish or bluish discoloration of surrounding tissues. A person who needs this remedy may also have restless feet and difficulty sleeping.
