Ringworm Pain

Ringworm is a fungal skin infection that causes a great deal of itchiness and pain around the infected areas. Ringworm and the pain related to it can usually be treated quickly and easily.

    • Ringworm is typically indicated by circular rashes with inflamed edges, itchiness and scaling skin near the rashes. These symptoms cause the skin to become painful to the touch.

    • The pain of ringworm can affect many different areas. Ringworm attacks the skin, scalp, fingers, toes and feet.

    Prevention/Solution

    • Ringworm and the pain associated with it can be prevented by avoiding the sharing of personal items, keeping the skin cool and dry, and making sure to stay clean and hygienic.

    Elimination

    • Antifungal creams are commonly used to remove ringworm and ease its pain. The most popularly used of these creams is Lamisil.

    Treatment

    • If the pain and other ringworm symptoms continue to worsen, it is best to see a doctor to make sure that the condition is eliminated as soon as possible.
