Paromomycin (generic name Paromomycin sulfate) is a prescription medicine commonly used to treat intestinal infections and liver-related problems, including liver disease. It is an aminoglycoside antibiotic, which means it interferes with the function of bacterial ribosomes. There are certain side effects that may occur from using Paromomycin.-

Users of Paromomycin frequently experience stomach cramps, nausea, appetite loss, stomachache, stomach burning and diarrhea. These usually tend to be minor side effects, since they generally subside rapidly. These side effects are dizziness, hearing loss, abnormal decrease in amounts of urine, headache, numbness, tingling of the skin, roaring or ringing sounds in the ears, confusion, disorientation, twitching of the muscles and convulsions.

Some signs of allergic reaction to Paromomycin include extreme dizziness, having problems breathing, swelling or itching (particularly of the tongue, throat or face) and skin rash.
