Cefzil is an antibiotic. There are some serious side effects that have been associated with antibiotics that are similar to Cefzil, such as skin rash with blisters, an extreme allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome (a rare illness that involves bleeding and blisters on various parts of the body) and serum sickness (which is characterized by joint pain, fever and itchy skin rash). If you notice any of these symptoms, you must immediately seek emergency medical attention.

Sometimes, though rather uncommon, Cefzil can lead to the medical condition colitis, which is a disorder that involves bowel inflammation. The main symptom of this ailment is diarrhea. If you notice this symptom, you should notify your doctor immediately.
