Infectious diarrhea - what kind of isolation?
Contact isolation is used for patients with infectious diarrhea. This means that all surfaces and objects that the patient comes into contact with must be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Staff must wear gloves and gowns when caring for the patient, and they must wash their hands frequently. Visitors must also wear gloves and gowns when visiting the patient. The patient should stay in a private room, and they should not share any personal items with other patients.
