Does Tamiflu treat a sinus infection?

Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate) is an antiviral medication used to treat and prevent influenza (the flu) caused by influenza viruses A and B. It does not treat sinus infections, which are typically caused by bacteria or allergies, not by viruses. Antibiotics, not Tamiflu, are used to treat bacterial sinus infections. For allergies, antihistamines, nasal sprays, and other medications may be used. Always consult with a healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment for sinus infections or other medical conditions. Self-medication with antiviral drugs not prescribed for your specific illness may be harmful and should be avoided.
