How long to the symptoms of bubonic plague last?

2 to 7 days

The symptoms of bubonic plague usually begin 2 to 7 days after the bite of an infected flea. In some cases, symptoms may not appear for up to 14 days. The symptoms of bubonic plague include:

* Fever and chills

* Headache

* Muscle aches

* Weakness

* Nausea and vomiting

* Diarrhea

* Swollen and painful lymph nodes (buboes)

The buboes are typically located in the groin, armpit, or neck. They can be very painful and may drain pus. In severe cases, the buboes can become infected and lead to sepsis.

The symptoms of bubonic plague can last for several weeks. In some cases, the plague can spread to the bloodstream, causing septicemic plague, or to the lungs, causing pneumonic plague. Both of these forms of the plague are more severe than bubonic plague and can be fatal if not treated promptly.
