Do you run a fever with staph infection?
A staph infection can cause a fever. Fever is a common symptom of infection and occurs when the body tries to fight off an infection. Staph infections can range in severity from mild skin infections to serious, life-threatening infections such as sepsis. Fever is more likely to occur with severe staph infections. Some individuals with less severe staph infections, such as a skin abscess or cellulitis, may not experience any fever.
