Malaria is an infectious disease that is spread by mosquitoes and is most prevalent in tropical and subtropical countries. Dysentery, or diarrhea, is one of the symptoms of malaria. Doctors can effectively treat malaria infections and diarrhea.

    Dysentery Symptoms

    • Dysentery symptoms include frequent watery, loose stools, abdominal pain and bloating. Patients with untreated dysentery can develop dehydration.

    • Dysentery sufferers with dehydration need to replace lost body fluids and salts with rehydration therapy that is prescribed by a doctor.
