Start monitoring for signs of ovulation. Ovulation signs are varied and depend on a woman's health. Signs of ovulation include increased production of fertile mucus, positioning of the cervix, and a jump in temperature. If possible note your ovulation signs for several months before attempting to take clomid. This will help you track your fertility signs.

Take your temperature in the morning. Purchase a thermometer. Before you get out of bed take your temperature each day. Leave the thermometer directly next to the bed for easy access. Make sure you can reach it before you get out of bed. Try to get up at the same time each morning. Write down your temperatures in the morning. You should see a rise in temperatures when you wake up in the middle of the cycle. This will not be affected by taking clomid.

Note the condition of your fertile mucus. Clomid can dry up fertile fluid making it difficult for a woman to get pregnant ironically. Make sure that your cervix is producing enough fluid. Note the contents of your cervix starting the day after you take the last pill. You should start out with scanty fluid. Fluid should increase after several days. This will help you track your ovulation after you take clomid.

Purchase an OPK. An OPK is an ovulation prediction kit. OPK's allow you to see when you are ovulating. You should see a color change as your approach ovulation. Be sure to use the kit each morning exactly as directed after you have taken the last pill. Clomid will not affect an OPK and will make it easier for you to chart your ovulation.
