Can you feel the egg attach to uterus wall after conception?
The egg, or more specifically, the fertilized egg now known as a blastocyst, does not attach to the uterine wall immediately after conception. It actually takes several days for the blastocyst to travel through the fallopian tube and reach the uterus. Once the blastocyst arrives at the uterus, it needs to attach to the uterine lining, or endometrium, in order to begin implantation. The process of implantation usually takes 5 to 6 days. During this time, the woman's body undergoes several changes to prepare the endometrium for the blastocyst to implant. These changes include an increase in blood flow and the thickening of the endometrium. Once the blastocyst has successfully implanted, the woman may experience some mild bleeding and cramping, known as implantation bleeding.
