What if I release an egg during ovulation or do always?
You do not always release an egg during ovulation. Ovulation is the process of releasing a mature egg from the ovary. It usually occurs 14 days before the start of your next period. However, it can vary from person to person and even from cycle to cycle.
You may not ovulate every month. If you have irregular periods, you may not be ovulating regularly. If you are trying to get pregnant, you can use an ovulation predictor kit to help you determine when you are ovulating.
If you release an egg during ovulation, it will travel down the fallopian tube and into the uterus. If sperm are present, they can fertilize the egg and lead to pregnancy. However, if the egg is not fertilized, it will be reabsorbed by the body.
