How to Get Pregnant With Thick Uterine Lining
Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition that causes thickening of the endometrial wall, which includes the uterus. A thick uterine lining can make it difficult for you to get pregnant--and even if you do get pregnant, you may have trouble carrying the baby to full term. There are treatments you can undergo, however. Prescription hormones combined with fertility treatment can increase your chances of conception.Things You'll Need
- Antibiotics
- Birth control prescription
- Clomid
- Raspberry leaf tea
- Chasteberry / vitex

1
Undergo a hysteroscopy to determine the severity of your infertility problem. A hysteroscopy is a surgical procedure that inserts a small camera through the vagina and cervix into the uterus to determine the health of the uterus. It will allow your doctor to gauge the thickness of your uterine lining and determine whether you need to take further action to help you get pregnant.

2
Take a round of prescription antibiotics, prescribed by your doctor, to make sure the thickening isn't the result of an infection in the uterus. If the thickening is an infection, the antibiotics may cause heavier menstrual bleeding than normal. Your doctor will want to re-evaluate your condition.

3
Talk to your doctor about birth control pills. While it may seem counterproductive to go on birth control when you want to get pregnant, the hormones in birth control pills may help increase shedding of the uterine wall, thinning it out over time so you can conceive more easily.

Provera is often prescribed to patients with a thick uterine lining, as it will increase uterine shedding during your menstrual period. After the uterus sheds, the doctor may want to perform another hysteroscopy to find out if your uterus is healthy enough to conceive. Sometimes, this shedding will also thin out the uterine lining, helping you get pregnant without fertility treatment.

5
Undergo a D&C procedure. D&C is a surgical procedure that scrapes away the uterine lining. It is often performed after a miscarriage to eliminate debris that may cause infection or later complications. D&C may thin out the uterine lining enough for you to conceive.

6
Talk to your doctor about Clomid. Clomid reduces the amount of estrogen the body produces and corrects luteal hormone deficiency. Repeated use of Clomid may result in a thinning of the uterine lining, which may help you if you're having difficulty conceiving because of thick uterine lining.

If you're not comfortable with surgeries, birth control or experimental fertility drugs, try natural remedies. Raspberry leaf tea and chasteberry are natural herbal remedies that promote healthy shedding of the uterine lining. You can find both of these in your local health food shops.
