Clearblue Monitor Instructions
The Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor is a proprietary device intended to help women who are trying to conceive a baby. Using a system of urine collection and an apparatus to measure the levels of hormones in the woman's urine over the course of a month, she can learn when she is most fertile and therefore most likely to conceive. The device is easy to use, but does require the woman to perform a urine test as often as the system requires.Instructions

1
Turn on the monitor and set the "m" button on the first day of your period. This tells the monitor your cycle has begun and starts timing a six-hour testing window. This window will appear the same time each day, so make sure you begin monitoring at a convenient time of day, when you will be able to perform the urine test if necessary. Turn off the monitor.

2
Turn on the monitor each day at some time during the six-hour testing window. For the first five days, you will see the "m" displayed. The number each day changes to indicate which day of your cycle you are on. Turn the monitor off each day when you are finished using it.

3
Perform a urine test on the days that the monitor indicates. Remove a test stick from the wrapper. Hold the sampling end of the test stick pointing downward in your urine stream for three seconds. The best time to perform the test is just after you wake up because that is when your urine holds the heaviest concentration of hormones.
-
4
Keep the test stick pointing downward while you take the cap off the handle and place it over the wet end of the test stick. Insert the test stick into the test stick slot of the monitor.
-
5
Wait while the test stick symbol on the monitor window flashes for approximately five minutes. During this time, the monitor is compiling the information from the test stick. When the symbol stops flashing, remove the test stick from the monitor and discard it.

Read your fertility status for the next 24 hours on the monitor. The monitor will display your status using a system of bars. One bar means low fertility, two bars indicate high fertility, and three bars show peak fertility. You are most likely to conceive on days of peak fertility, though you could conceive on days of low or high fertility. At the end of your cycle, the m symbol on the monitor will begin to flash. This means your cycle is nearing its end. If your period does not start around the same time it does every month, you should perform a pregnancy test.
