How to Treat IBD with Aloe Gel
IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) is a term that covers a group of intestinal disorders that are characterized by inflammation, such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. With IBD, the intestines become swollen and inflamed, with symptoms such as abdominal pains and cramps and diarrhea. While there is not one specific known cause of IBD, there are several ways to treat it. One of these treatments, aloe vera gel, is relatively new and still under much study. Aloe vera gel is an anti-inflammatory, and also has analgesic properties, which soothes the pain and irritation of the intestinal tract. Treating IBD with aloe vera gel is a simple process, but if you are currently on medication or under medical care for IBD, consult your physician before beginning an aloe vera regimen.Instructions
