What causes watery periods?
* Endometriosis: A condition where the tissue that lines the uterus grows outside of the uterus. This can cause watery or bloody discharge between periods.* Ovulation: When an egg is released from the ovary, it can cause a small amount of watery discharge. This usually happens 14 days before your period is due.
* Implantation bleeding: When a fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus, it can cause light bleeding or spotting. This can happen a few days before your period is due.
* Sexually transmitted infections (STIs): Some STIs, such as chlamydia and gonorrhea, can cause watery or yellow discharge.
* Pregnancy: Early pregnancy can cause watery discharge. This is due to the increased levels of hormones in your body.
* Menopause: The years leading up to menopause can cause irregular periods and watery discharge. This is due to the declining levels of hormones in your body.
If you are experiencing watery discharge and you are not sure what is causing it, it is important to see a doctor to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
