Can constipation cause me to have braxton hicks?

While constipation can indeed trigger braxton hicks contractions, it is important to mention that these two conditions are not causally related. Braxton hicks are essentially practice contractions experienced during pregnancy which prepare the body for labor. On the other hand, constipation refers to an irregular bowel movement with difficult passage of stools. Therefore, the occurrence of braxton hicks during constipation is coincidental and does not impact the natural course of constipation itself.
