Male Kidney Infection Symptoms

Individuals with a kidney infection will experience signs of at least two symptoms. Some are severe and easily recognized. Others are extremely mild, but they should not be ignored.
  1. Burning Urination

    • The most common symptom of a kidney infection is a painful, typically burning, sensation while attempting to urinate.

    Abdominal Pain

    • Abdominal pain can have many causes.If it is present with at least one other kidney infection symptom, however, you could have a kidney infection.

    Empty Urges

    • The consistent urge to urinate, although little if any urine comes out, is a sign of a kidney infection.

    Nausea and Vomitting

    • If nausea and vomiting are present with at least one other kidney-infection symptom, you might have a kidney infection.

    Cloudy Urine

    • Urine that is "cloudy" or "smoky" in appearance is a sign that an individual could have a kidney infection.

    When To Seek Medical Attention

    • Contact a physician immediately if you suspect that you have two or more symptoms of kidney infection. Severe kidney infections can be life threatening.
