What is the temperature of kidneys?

Kidneys are located in the abdominal cavity, surrounded by other organs. The temperature of the kidneys is typically the same as the core body temperature. In humans, the normal core body temperature is around 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

However, the kidneys can experience mild variations in temperature due to certain factors such as external temperature changes, changes in blood flow to the kidneys, and certain medical conditions. For example, during strenuous exercise or in hot environments, the body may divert more blood flow to the skin for cooling, which can slightly decrease the temperature of the kidneys. On the other hand, in cold environments, the body may reduce blood flow to the extremities to conserve heat, leading to a slight increase in the temperature of the kidneys.
