What is the urine forming structure in kidney?

Nephrons are the microscopic urine-forming structures in the kidneys. Each kidney contains millions of nephrons, which are responsible for filtering waste products and excess water from the blood to produce urine. The nephrons are composed of several segments, including the glomerulus, proximal convoluted tubule, loop of Henle, and distal convoluted tubule. These segments work together to filter and process the blood, reabsorb essential substances and water, and excrete waste products as urine.
