Do you get a fever with Lyme disease?

In the early stage of Lyme disease, known as the localized stage, a person may develop a characteristic bullseye rash at the site of the tick bite. This rash typically appears within 3 to 30 days after the bite and may be accompanied by flu-like symptoms, including fever, fatigue, chills, body aches, and headaches. As the disease progresses to the disseminated stage, a person may experience joint pain and swelling, as well as neurological symptoms such as facial palsy and Bell's palsy. Persistent fevers are not common in the later stages of Lyme disease.
