How to Operate a BiPAP Vision Machine
A BiPAP (bi-level positive airway pressure) machine is similar to a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine. They both help patients breathe by introducing air pressure. However, while a CPAP machine provides one level of air pressure, a BiPAP can be programmed to provide one pressure level for exhalation and another for inhalation. The BiPAP Vision, manufactured by Philips Respironics, is one brand of BiPAP that a hospital may use for patients struggling to breathe. Your hospital should train you in its operation before you treat patients with the device. Before operating a BiPAP, double-check the physician's orders.Instructions
