How to Get Rid of Stinky Fungal Feet
Any time your feet are in a dark, moist and warm environment for long periods of time, such as when when you wear tight, unventilated shoes, you run the risk of developing a fungus commonly known as athlete's foot. Keeping your feet dry prevents fungus from forming. Anti-fungal soaps, creams and sprays can kill the fungus. If the fungus is left untreated, however, it can spread and cause your feet to stink.Things You'll Need
- Anti-fungal soap
- Clean towels
- Anti-fungal spray or cream
- Cotton socks
- Oxygen bleach
Instructions
-
-
1
Place your feet under running warm water. A bathtub works best for this. Wet your feet.
-
2
Wet the anti-fungal soap. Scrub your feet with the soap, including in-between toes and around nails.
-
3
Rinse the soap off your feet.
-
4
Dry your feet with the towel.
-
5
Apply anti-fungal cream or spray to your feet. Read the instructions on the packaging for the proper amount to use. Wash your hands with regular soap and water to remove any leftover cream or spray.
-
6
Put on a pair of cotton socks. Or, in the summer, you can go without socks and wear shoes that leave your feet exposed to the air.
-
7
Repeat the entire process 2 times a day for as long as the directions for the cream or spray specify. If the fungus doesn't start to go away in the allotted time, see a doctor.

Put the towel you used in Step 4 into the washing machine and wash with oxygen bleach. Do this with any socks you wear also. The oxygen bleach, which is color-safe, safely kills the fungus, which prevents spreading and cross-contamination.
