Hives With Ankle Pain
Hives are red swollen welts that appear on the surface of the skin. Ankle pain is discomfort that develops in the ankle joint where the leg and foot meet. Hives and ankle pain are not usually related conditions.-
Hives Symptoms

According to the Mayo Clinic, patients with skin hives may notice welts on various sizes or welts that clear up and redevelop in other areas of the skin. Skin hives can cause itching, burning or stinging sensations.
Hives Causes

Hives can result from an allergic reaction to foods, medications or environmental allergens such as pollen, insect stings or latex. Hives may develop from the release of histamine in the body.
Hives Treatment

Hives can be treated with oral nonprescription antihistamines such as diphenhydramine, loratadine or cetirizine. Doctors may prescribe stronger antihistamines such as fexofenadine or desloratadine or oral corticosteroids such as prednisone to treat severe hives cases.
Ankle Pain Causes

According to the Mayo Clinic, ankle pain can develop from several causes including gout, ankle injuries or a form of arthritis. Broken feet can also cause ankle pain.
Ankle Pain Treatment

Mild ankle injuries may be treated with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications, resting and applying ice to the ankle. Severe ankle pain should be treated by a physician.
