If you visit a doctor's office or a hospital with certain symptoms or are there for a routine checkup, you will often be given a urine test. The test is very normal and is administered easily without pain.

    • During normal urinalysis the color and obvious appearance of your urine, as well as what is looks like under a microscope, are evaluated. Its chemical make-up is also analyzed.

    Normal Results

    • The color of your urine may vary based on your diet, but as long as it ranges from near colorless to some variation of yellow, it is fine. According to Medline Plus, the lack of hemoglobin, nitrites, red blood cells and white blood cells is normal.
