      Once you arrive, the first step consists of a thorough and scientific manual screening to detect any lice or nits and their eggs, in your child's scalp. Throughout this process, children are encouraged to play video games or watch DVDs so they feel no pain or discomfort during the checkup process. The environment is also a congenial environment for the accompanying parent.

    Treatment

    • The next step in the process is to apply creams and other necessary tools to safely remove lice and nits from the scalp. This process, Hair Fairies claims, is highly scientific and hygienic, as well as effective. The salon has some signature products which are used in this process. These are non-toxic and all natural. The final step is to administer preventive measures. Once on this treatment, your child is not likely to be prone to lice. The entire process takes anywhere between 90 minutes and three hours, depending on the concentration and quantity of lice in the scalp. Most treatments consist of three sessions in a span of a week and a half.

    • Some of the products Hair Fairies uses for prevention of lice include the Nit-Zapping Prevention Kit, Nit-Zapping Prevention Oil, Nit-Zapping Lice Repellant Spray, Nit-Zapping Eucalyptus Laundry Additive and Foaming Hand Soap. These products can also be purchased in stores or online to be used at home. Products geared towards home use include home kits such as Home Deluxe Kit, Home Plus Kit and Home Kit. Supplemental products include Nit-Zapping shampoos and creams. A special set of tools is also offered as another component of preventive treatment. These tools include Nit-Zapping Tweezers, a Nit-Zapping Comb and Nit-Zapping Visor. According to Hair Fairies, these products are the result of three years of clinical research and scientific validation. Hair Fairies claims its program was developed in consultation with pediatricians and related specialists.
