How to Prevent Epididymitis
Epididymitis is a medical condition describing the inflammation of the epididymis, the vessel that holds and transports sperm. The epididymis is located in the back of the testicle. Epididymitis can lead to pain in the testicles, penile discharge, bloody semen and painful urination; this is certainly a condition you want to avoid at all costs. Inflammation is usually due to a sexually transmitted disease such as chlamydia or gonorrhea. Fortunately, there are ways to prevent these STDs and thereby avoid epididymitis.Instructions

1
Use a condom. Using a condom, next to abstention, is the safest way to avoid contracting an STD and subsequently epididymitis. Employ proper condom usage to eliminate the risk of STDs. Never wear a condom twice; never wear two condoms at once; never use a torn or broken condom. After ejaculation, immediately pull out and roll off the condom.

2
Practice monogamy. STDs and epididymitis are more common among men with many sexual partners. By having sex with only one partner for long periods of time, you greatly decrease your risk of contracting an STD.

Get tested, and ask your partner to get tested too. Once you and your partner receive a clean sexual bill of health, your STD risk plummets.
