Cellulite Removal by Limb Pressure Therapy
Women cringe when they see that "cottage cheese" look on their thighs. Losing weight can help approve the appearance of cellulite, but according to the Mayo Clinic, cellulite tends to run in families, so genetics may play the biggest role in whether you develop cellulite. You may not be able to banish cellulite from your life forever, but by taking advantage of almost pain-free treatments, your thighs can look smooth and toned at least temporarily.

Pressotherapy
-
Pressotherapy uses a controlled-pressure pneumatic massage, and usually takes place in a clinic or spa.
The patient lies face up on a bed, and the limb is fitted into a double-walled boot. Air is pumped into several pneumatic chambers of the boot, with varying pressure during the treatment, depending on the characteristics of the limb. Treatment therapy modes automatically adapt according to the patient's blood pressure reading.
The treatment only takes 30 minutes, and patients report feeling more energetic and refreshed. Treatments can be repeated regularly if desired, and can improve cellulite, fluid retention and general detoxification.
Endermologie
-
Endermologie is a unique way to shape your body and improve the appearance of cellulite.
Treatment is usually performed in a clinic, with a specially designed key module with a motorized treatment head and independent rollers used to treat connective tissue disorders. All areas of the body can be reached.
The patient wears a body stocking and lies face down on a table. A clinician starts the treatment by gently massaging the whole body with the rollers. Controlled suction allows the skin to be lifted so problem areas can receive a deeper massage.
By deeply massaging the connective tissue layers of the skin, lymphatic and vascular congestion is eliminated, allowing improved nutrient supply to the cells. Skin has a tighter appearance due to collagen and elastin stimulation and the breakdown of lumpy fibrosis.
The treatment lasts 35 minutes and leaves you relaxed and comfortable. Results are cumulative, so the more treatments you do, the more improvement you'll see in the cellulite area.
Acoustic Wave Therapy
-
Planar applicators and radial pressure applicators are the different tools used in acoustic wave therapy. Doctors would like to combine the two methods in the future, to achieve better results with cellulite.
A planar applicator works by sending out a high energy pressure wave that lasts for a short time. These high pressure waves break up fibrous matter and stimulate collagen production, with the patient experiencing almost no pain during the process.
A radial pressure applicator generates a slower working pressure wave by using an air chamber and pellet, and some patients may experience a vibration during the treatment. Radial pressure applicators relieve pain in some patients by stimulating the nerves and improving circulation.
Treatment consists of moving paddles over the cellulite location that emit acoustic waves to connective tissue and surrounding areas.
Treatment usually lasts less than 30 minutes, and can be performed on an outpatient basis at a hospital or surgical suite. No pain medication is given, and you may leave as soon as the procedure is over.
