Leukemia Treatment With Acemannan

Leukemia is cancer of the bloodstream, originating in the bone marrow. The marrow--the epicenter of blood cell generation--creates deformed and abnormal white blood cells, which are then spread throughout the body. These irregular white blood cells are unable to perform their infection-fighting function, leading to dangerous symptoms including bleeding, bone pain and death. While modern medicine has made tremendous progress in treating this cancer, some patients are still curious about alternative remedies such as acemannan.
  1. Acemannan

    • Acemannan is the active ingredient found in aloe vera. It has known antibiotic properties, and is used as such to treat oral ulcers. The compound is effective at killing a handful of bacteria as well as some viruses and fungi. However, there is no medical evidence supporting acemannan as a treatment for leukemia in humans. Acemannan has been shown to be effective at treating leukemia in cats. The feline version is caused by a virus, which potentially explains acemannan's curative power. The cause of human leukemia is generally unknown, although it may be genetic or environmentally related. There is no medical reason to believe that acemannan would effectively treat this condition. Talk to your oncologist about medically supported leukemia therapies.
