Broken Capillaries Cure
The Glossary of Aneurysm- and Brain-Related Terms website defines capillaries as the tiny blood vessels which connect veins and arteries. Capillaries are very delicate and with age, they become susceptible to breaks. For some, broken capillaries are an embarrassment because they look like bruises and disfigure the skin. Thankfully, broken capillaries can be treated or cured in a number of ways.-
Laser Surgery
-
The first step in treatment of broken capillaries is to consult with a reputable dermatologist, a doctor who specializes in skin care. The dermatologist will recommend the best treatment possible for the degree of severity of the broken capillaries. If the broken capillaries are severe enough, the dermatologist may perform laser surgery.
Depending on severity of the broken capillaries, you may only need a one-time laser treatment or you may require to several laser treatments until the problem subsides. Laser surgeries for broken capillaries are simple, generally only taking about 20 minutes inside the convenience of a private setting and you can go immediately home afterwards.
Creams
-
If the dermatologist believes laser surgery is not required to treat capillaries, she may recommend facial creams. The creams may be either prescription or over the counter. You should follow dosing instructions carefully for either one. In most cases, you should expect to receive noticeable results over the course of a week and a half or longer; the results using the creams are not instantaneous.
Natural Remedies
-
There are some natural remedies that may be suggested. Some believe drinking chamomile tea improves blood circulation. It is believed that the improved circulation prevents new capillaries from breaking and helps heal the capillaries that are already broken. In addition, the use of facial creams that contain Vitamin C are highly recommended as a natural combatant to broken capillaries. Chamomile or rose tea oil combined with a typical night mask may also be helpful in treating broken capillaries. While these remedies may be helpful, the results will usually take longer to become visible.
