Celestone Soluspan Side Effects

Celestone Soluspan is a medication used in the treatment of symptoms associated with decreased adrenal gland function. The medication is a corticosteroid that works by decreasing internal inflammation and by modifying the body's immune system to cope with the treatment. As with most medications, there are a number of side effects associated with using Celestone Soluspan.

  1. Common Side Effects

    • As mentioned, there are certain side effects associated with using this medication. Some side effects include clumsiness, dizziness, acne, headache, increased appetite, general discomfort, nausea, nervousness, pain, swelling, insomnia and upset stomach. While these are the most common side effects associated with using Celestone Soluspan, they only affect a small number of users.

    Severe Side Effects

    • Unfortunately, there are also certain side effects associated with using this medication. Some side effects include allergic reactions, hives, difficulty breathing, tightening of the chest, swelling of the mouth and lips, dark stools, changes in menstrual cycle, chest pain, unusual bleeding and bruising, muscle pain, seizures, nausea, vomiting and severe diarrhea. These side effects are also rare and do not affect a large number of users.

    Important Safety Information

    • Celestone Soluspan has been known to cause dizziness and drowsiness in some users and it is recommended not to operate any type of machinery (including automobiles) while using this medication. This medication may lower your body's natural ability to fight infection. As a result, it is recommended to stay away from any individual with a sickness or disease. Talk with your doctor before receiving any vaccine throughout the course of your treatment.

    Usage

    • Always use Celestone Soluspan in direct conjunction with your doctor's orders and never in dosages that exceed the recommendations on the label. The medication is administered in injection form and should be performed by a nurse or doctor in a medical setting. Keep this product, as well as the related syringes and disposal areas, away from children as it can pose a severe health risk if not handled properly.
