Herbal Parasite Cleanser

Parasites are a major fear if you have recently traveled in another country. There may be parasites in the water and food that you have picked up along the way and if you are experiencing pain or gastrointestinal problems they may be the cause. Once you have been diagnosed with a parasite there is a three-step process if you wish to take care of the condition with herbal methods. Consult a physician before trying this or any other supplemental method.
  1. Expose the Parasites

    • The first step in the herbal parasite cleansing process is to expose the parasites which have surrounded themselves with mucus-encrusted waste. The best way to do this is by taking any one of or a combination of the following herbal soluble fibers: ground flax seeds, comfrey, psyllium husks, beet root, citrus husk pectin, apple pectin, and dried fruit extracts of dates, prunes, figs, and papayas. Once these fibers have gotten rid of some of the waste created by the parasites, it will be easier to attack the parasites directly. It may also generally improve your symptoms, but since these fibers do not kill the parasites themselves, do not mistake this for having been cured of your condition. Use these fibers for at least three weeks for optimum effectiveness.

    Kill the Parasites

    • Once you have exposed the parasites, it is now time to attack and remove them. Here are a couple of herbal concoctions that can help. Try mixing one tablespoon of each of the three herbs, wormwood, black walnut husk, and clove juice together to remove parasites at all levels of infection. You may take this remedy as many times per day as you wish. Another concoction is a tea made from the root bark of the barberry herb. Add a teaspoon of the herb to a cup of boiling water, steep and strain it, and drink it three times per day every day. Homeopathic remedies can help to target specific conditions as well. Sabadilla can be effective with pinworms, beef tapeworms, and pork tapeworms. Teucrium can be used for thread, pin, and round worms. Natrum phosphoricum can be helpful for babies with internal parasites. These remedies can be used in low potency doses of 6c (where c is equal to 100 times the standard homeopathic potency) three times a day for six weeks at a time.

    Remove the Toxins

    • Once you have noticed a decrease in symptoms from your parasite infection, it is now time to start cleansing out the toxins that they have created. Use an herbal tea made from the following herbs: witch hazel, cascara sagrada, pumpkin seeds, cloves, marsh mallow, mullein, violet, and slippery elm. Mix them all together in equal portions and then put one teaspoon of the herbal mixture into a cup of boiling water, steep it, strain it, and drink it three times per day. A teaspoon of Swedish bitters before meals can also be helpful for this purpose. Try to eat as nutritiously as possible during this time, with plenty of fiber-rich fruits, beans, and vegetables to ensure that your body has enough fiber to make productive bowel movements.
