Diarrhea and Appendicitis Symptoms

A viral infection of your gastrointestinal tract can cause both diarrhea and appendicitis. An obstruction near your appendix can cause appendicitis, and an obstruction in your intestines can cause diarrhea. Diarrhea can also be present if you have appendicitis. Appendicitis and diarrhea can cause fever and dehydration. If not treated promptly, serious complications can arise. Both can be determined with proper diagnostic testing by your physician.
