Believe it or not, one of the best ways to relieve the symptoms of nausea and upset stomach is simply to stop whatever you are doing. If you are sick as a result of being in a moving vehicle, get out of the vehicle and sit down, if it's possible. If you are at home, get into bed and try to lie completely still. Listen to your body and get in a position that feels most comfortable, whether it's on your back or in the fetal position.
Drink Fluids

Dehydration can make nausea worse in certain situations. One way to settle your stomach is to drink lots of fluids. Anything carbonated can help you expel gas, which might offer temporary relief. Ginger ale and ginger tea have been known to settle the stomach. Aside from water, sport drinks containing electrolytes can rehydrate you and make you feel better. If vomiting occurs, try sucking on an ice cube.
