1
Pay attention to blocked sinuses that never clear. Blocked sinuses are a fairly common condition. However, chronically blocked sinuses indicate a problem. Talk with a doctor if you have sinuses that never clear.
-
2
Look for swelling around the eyes. Chronic, unexplained eye swelling is a common symptom in patients with sinus cancer.
-
3
Watch for pain in the nasal and upper teeth area. Sinus cancer causes facial pain, especially in these two areas.
-
4
Check for numbness in your face. Sinus cancer often causes numbness of the upper lip, cheek, upper teeth and the sides of the nose.
-
5
Note reoccurring nosebleeds. Nosebleeds can occur at any time but frequent, chronic and unexplained nosebleeds may indicate sinus cancer.
-
6
Recognize distinct changes in speech and vision. Sinus cancer causes slurred speech as well as double vision. If you experience either of these symptoms, discuss it with your doctor immediately.
