First, you need to know that sinusitis is a condition that causes inflammation of the mucus membranes of your sinuses. The inflammation then causes fluid buildup that blocks the sinus cavity and prevents normal mucus drainage.

Next, you have to figure out if the symptoms you are experiencing are really sinusitis. Some of the most common symptoms of sinusitis are headaches, difficulty breathing through your nose, along with pain in the face and behind your eyes. These are often accompanied by yellow or greenish drainage from your nose and down your throat. Without treatment the drainage will case a sore throat and coughing. You may also experience pain in the jaw, teeth, and ears. Some people also have nausea associated with sinus drainage. You may also notice that you are fatigued easily because of the breathing trouble.
