Stay Calm. Make sure that you keep your breathing even and deep. You don’t want to start panicking, and whatever you do, you don’t want to tilt your head back while your nose is bleeding, you’ll wind up swallowing blood and letting it travel to your esophagus, which will cause you to not only possibly choke, but you’ll vomit if you ingest too much blood.

The Pinching Method. This method is fairly simple, and can easily be practiced by anyone who has a nosebleed. Simply pinch just below the bridge of your nose, which puts pressure on the vein in your nose that is often the culprit of a nosebleed. Do that for five to ten minutes, and try not to release pressure before then because you might just start up the bleeding again.

Medical Attention! If your nose doesn’t stop bleeding at that point, then you need to go to the hospital and seek medical attention immediately! The fact is, if you’re able to slow the bleeding from pinching, then it should stop, but if it doesn’t, it could be signs of a more serious nosebleed that your doctor will need to see.
