1
Position the lift behind the vehicle you are installing it on. Align the hitch post with the vehicle's hitch.
-
2
Remove the bolt from the hitch adapter and slide the adapter into the vehicle's hitch receiver. Tighten the bolt and add the locking nut to lock the hitch in place.
-
3
Connect the power cord from the lift to the vehicle wiring harness.
-
4
Raise the lift to the upright position and align it with the hitch adapter. Turn the lift on and power the lift down. This will raise the hitch post into the hitch adapter. Align the bolt holes. Insert bolts into the holes and tighten them.
-
5
Adjust the wheel cradle on the edge by removing the bolts on the side and aligning it to the ground. Replace the bolts when the adjustment is complete.
-
6
Power the lift down so that it rests on the ground. Drive the scooter onto it so that the back wheels rest on the wheel cradle. Activate the hold-down foot so that it clamps down on the scooter's footplate. Adjust the hold-down foot by loosening the upper and lower locking nuts and allowing the length of thread to change. Ensure the scooter is secure before transporting it.
