How to Get Rid of Nit Eggs With a Home Remedy
Things You'll Need
- Shampoo
- 2 oz. travel-size plastic bottle with a cap
- 5 drops tea tree essential oil
- 5 drops lavender essential oil
- 5 drops rosemary essential oil
- 5 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- 5 drops peppermint essential oil
- 5 tsps. pure olive carrier oil
- Shower cap
- Clean towel
- 10 oz. spray bottle
- White vinegar
- Wide-tooth comb
- Nit comb

Pour 5 tablespoons of shampoo into a 2-ounce travel-size plastic bottle.

Add five drops of tea tree essential oil and five drops of lavender essential oil to the shampoo in the plastic bottle.

Add five drops of rosemary essential oil and five drops of eucalyptus essential oil to the bottle.

Add five drops of peppermint essential oil and five teaspoons of pure olive carrier oil to the bottle. Replace the cap on the bottle and shake until the contents are thoroughly mixed.

Apply the mixture to your entire head and cover with a shower cap. Leave the mixture to sit for at least one hour.

Wash the mixture from the hair using comfortably-hot water. Use a clean towel to towel-dry your hair and remove any excess water.

Fill a 10-ounce spray bottle with white vinegar.

Spray the white vinegar onto your hair and scalp. Be sure to use enough vinegar to completely saturate your hair and scalp.

Rinse the vinegar from your hair using comfortably-hot water. Use a clean towel to remove any excess moisture.

Use a wide-tooth comb to remove any tangles from your hair.

Use a nit comb to comb through the hair. Start at the scalp and work your way to the ends of the hair.

Dry your hair as normal.
