How to Get Rid of Spider Veins Without Surgery
Spider veins are usually red or blue in color, and they can look like spiderwebs on your legs. Certain factors can increase your chances of getting them, such as pregnancy, standing all day, birth control pills and obesity. You may feel that you need surgery to get rid of your spider veins, but there are other things you can do.Instructions

1
Wear support hose. You can buy these at any surgical supply store. They are tighter at the ankle and loose at the thigh. According to Margaret A. Weiss, M.D., assistant professor of dermatology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, these make it difficult for blood to pool in weak veins and discourages the formation of spiders.

2
Move around as much as possible. If you stand all day, try to exercise your legs, which encourages the blood to flow better. You can walk in place for a minute, do lunges and flex your feet and ankles.

3
Lose weight. Too much weight can add pressure to the veins, so start a weight-loss program.

4
Get Sclerotherapy. Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical procedure in which the veins are injected with a solution that scars and closes them. This causes the blood to "reroute through healthier veins," according to MayoClinic.com.

5
Get a surface laser treatment, such as Vasculight or Photoderm. The heat from the lasers will destroy the problem veins.
