How CT brain is used in migraine diagnosis?
While CT brain scans are not routinely used in the diagnosis of migraines, they can be helpful in excluding other potential causes of headaches, such as腦中風, hemorrhage, tumors, or other structural abnormalities. In certain situations, a CT brain scan may be ordered if the migraine symptoms are severe or atypical, if there are new or progressive neurological symptoms, or if there is concern about potential underlying structural abnormalities. Additionally, CT brain scans may be useful in evaluating for complications of migraines, such as cerebral venous thrombosis or posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES).
