Different Triptan Medicines
Triptans are prescription medications used to treat migraines if traditional pain relievers do not work or cannot be given. They work by interfering with a brain chemical called 5HT, which is thought to cause migraines when altered.-
Almotriptan

Naratriptan
-
Naratriptan (Amerge) has few common side effects, including fatigue and tightness in the body. Rarely, it may cause stroke or heart problems. Typical dose is 1 to 2.5 millgrams.

Considerations
-
Although triptan medications are similar and share several side effects, you may react differently to each one. If one does not work, your doctor may prescribe another. These medications do not prevent migraines.
