Beginning Symptoms of MS

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disorder that causes the immune system to attack the nerve coverings throughout the body. MS causes the nerves to deteriorate over time and may eventually result in the inability to speak or walk. Symptoms of MS are not always constant and may flare up and then disappear for a time. According to the Mayo Clinic, women between the ages of 20 and 40 are more likely to develop multiple sclerosis.
  1. Tiredness

    • Individuals with multiple sclerosis may experience unusual fatigue.

    Weakness

    • MS may cause limbs to become weak or numb.

    Vision Problems

    • Those with MS may experience double or blurry vision. Also, vision may be lost in one or both eyes. MS may also cause eye pain.

    Unusual Sensations

    • MS sufferers may have unexplained pain in various parts of the body. They may also have tingling sensations.

    Lightheadedness

    • Individuals with MS may experience lightheadedness or dizziness.

    Coordination and Balance Problems

    • MS may cause coordination difficulties and loss of proper balance.
