Instructions

    • 1

Moisten a disposable baby diaper with water. You want it damp, but not sopping wet. Start with 1/2 cup of water and work from there, depending on what size and brand you use; you may need to add more water.

    • 2

Place the dampened diaper into the microwave and heat on a medium setting. Depending on how strong your microwave is, you may need more or less time, but 90 seconds is a good place to start. Just don't cook the diaper.

    • 3

Remove diaper from microwave, check and make sure it isn't too hot against your skin and also make sure it is warm enough.

    • 4

Wrap the diaper/heat pad around the afflicted area and keep in place with some gauze, bandage wrap, a scarf or even a towel. Just use something you have on hand as there's no need to buy anything extra.
