How to Do a Dumbbell Arnold Press

The dumbbell Arnold press is a shoulder exercise that targets the lateral delts, anterior delts, and triceps. It is named after Arnold Schwarzenegger, who popularized the exercise during his bodybuilding career.

To perform the dumbbell Arnold press:

1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and a dumbbell in each hand.

2. Hold the dumbbells at shoulder height with your palms facing forward.

3. Press the dumbbells overhead, rotating your wrists so that your palms face forward as you reach the top position.

4. Lower the dumbbells back to shoulder height and repeat.

Here are some tips for performing the dumbbell Arnold press correctly:

* Use a weight that is challenging but not too heavy.

* Keep your elbows tucked in close to your body.

* Press the dumbbells overhead with a controlled motion.

* Do not lock your elbows at the top of the movement.

The dumbbell Arnold press is a great exercise for building strong shoulders. It can be performed as part of a shoulder workout or as a compound exercise for the upper body.
